Components of Injection Molded Magnets
Two primary components are used in creating bonded magnets:
Magnetic Powder
This typically consists of ferrite and NdFeB (neodymium-iron-boron) powders. These materials provide the essential magnetic properties required for the final product.
Non-Magnetic Binder
A polymer or elastomer binder is used to hold the magnetic powder together. This binder is critical in forming a durable, flexible compound that can be easily molded.
1. The appearance is smooth and flawless, with high dimensional accuracy, good consistency, and no need for subsequent processing. They offer stable performance, shock resistance, and impact resistance. The main function of the magnetic ring on the walking wheel of the sweeping robot is to control the motor speed and steering.
2. Overmolding and insert molding with other parts (e.g., back yokes, hubs, axles) is readily available, and injection-molded polymer parts can also be incorporated.
3. Injection-molded magnets have a higher volume fraction of polyester binder than compression-molded magnets. In most applications, they provide adequate corrosion protection without the need for a coating.

Applications of Injection Molded Magnets




Motors and Drive Systems: Injection molded magnets find extensive use in various motors, including Brushless DC Motors (BLDC), Permanent Magnet DC Motors (PMDC), stepper motors, and synchronous motors. These motors are widely utilized in automotive, industrial automation, and consumer electronics.
Automotive Applications: In the automotive industry, injection molded magnets are used in various sensors and actuators, including speed and position sensors, flow meters, torque motors, magnetic couplings, HVAC motors, rollover sensors, water pumps, feedback sensors, water meters, exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) sensors, throttle position sensors, turbo actuator sensors, cylinder sensors, and timing magnets. These components are crucial for enhancing the performance and safety of automobiles.
Medical and Diagnostic Equipment: Injection molding technology is employed in producing critical magnetic components for medical devices, particularly in imaging and diagnostic equipment such as Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) machines, where highly precise magnetic elements are essential for device performance.
Electronics and Instrumentation: Injection molded magnets are used in manufacturing micro-magnetic components for electronic products and instrument panels, such as flow meters, level sensors, and fuel filters. Molded Magnet Customization Process

1. Provide accurate molded magnet material.
2. Customers provide drawings or samples of molded magnets.
3. The company provides a quotation for the magnets (including proofing fee, proofing time, unit price, and delivery date).
4. The customer confirms the quotation, signs the purchase contract, and pays the advance payment.
5. Proofing of magnets is done strictly according to customer needs.
6. The customer confirms the sample, and once approved, the bulk production of goods will begin.
