Injection molded magnet is one of the more important developments in magnetic materials, it has opened a new world of application opportunities. Similar to plastic injection molding, the process for making magnets involves mixing magnetic material with a polymer binder, heating the combination in the injection machine, and injecting the molten mixture into the mold to create various product shapes.
Injection Molded Magnets are made from Strontium Ferrite , NdFeB, or a combination of the two and blends of magnetic materials to achieve an extensive range of properties. Therefore, in addition to injection molded magnets, we can also make bonded ferrite, bonded NdFeB, and bonded NdFeB and Ferrite mixed magnets.
Binder of Injection Molded Magnets
Nylon 6 and 12, PPS, and Polyamide or polymer are some types of binders that can withstand a wide range of application temperatures, from -40°C to 180°C.
