What is a magnetic coupling

Magnetic couplings are also called magnetic couplings and permanent magnet drives. It is mainly composed of three parts: copper rotor, permanent magnet rotor and controller. Generally, the copper rotor is connected with the motor shaft, the permanent magnet rotor is connected with the shaft of the working machine, there is an air gap (called air gap) between the copper rotor and the permanent magnet rotor, and there is no mechanical connection for transmitting torque. In this way, a soft (magnetic) connection is formed between the motor and the working machine, and the change of the torque and speed of the working shaft is realized by adjusting the air gap. Due to the different air gap adjustment methods, permanent magnet eddy current transmission devices are divided into different types such as standard type, delay type, torque limiting type, and speed regulation type.
