Neodymium Magnets, also known as NdFeB, NIB, or Neo magnets, are the most widely-used type of rare-earth magnets. It is the strongest type of permanent magnet made from an alloy of Neodymium, Iron, and Boron with the Nd2Fe14B tetragonal crystalline structure.
Neodymium magnets are very strong in comparison to their mass, but are also mechanically fragile and the most powerful grades lose their magnetism at temperatures above 80 degrees Celsius (176 degrees Fahrenheit). High-temperature grades will operate at up to 200 and even 230 °C but their strength is only marginally greater than that of samarium-cobalt.
Neodymium disc magnets have become a preferred solution for a wide variety of industrial and civil applications. Neodymium disc magnet is typically measured by the diameter and thickness, then its thickness is always smaller than the diameter. The great majority of Neodymium disc magnet are axially magnetized and widely served various types of application, such as holding purpose and speaker magnet. Diametrically magnetized pattern is also available for circular magnet and most of diametrically magnetized Neodymium disc magnet are used as the sensor magnet.
