Product Introduction

Chongqing Great Wall Technology Co., Ltd. is one of the leading manufacturers and suppliers of smco ring magnet in China, also supports customized service. Welcome to wholesale high quality smco ring magnet for sale here from our factory.

Samarium cobalt magnets, also referred to as SmCo magnets, are a powerful permanent magnet consisting of an alloy of samarium and cobalt, one of the two types of rare earth magnets. They were created at the start of the 1970s. Although less powerful than neodymium magnets, they are often the second-strongest type of magnet produced and have higher temperature ratings. They are pricey, fragile, and vulnerable to chipping and shattering. The maximal energy products (BHmax) of samarium-cobalt magnets range from 16 megagauss-oersteds (MGOe) to 32 MGOe, with a theoretical maximum of 34 MGOe. They come in two ''series,'' namely Series 1:5 and Series 2:17.

Samarium Cobalt Magnets (SmCo) magnets have exceptional temperature stability and maintain their magnetic characteristics even under settings of extremely high or low temperatures. They are therefore excellent choices for applications demanding high or very low temperatures.

SmCo magnets have high coercivity (Hci) to resist demagnetization.

Magnets made on SmCo withstand corrosion well. Due to the absence of iron, Sm1Co5 does not rust. To reduce the danger of surface corrosion, Sm2Co17 should be coated with a protective coating in extremely moist conditions. Sm1Co5, on the other hand, doesn't rust because it doesn't contain iron.

Features

1) SMCO magnets can withstand temperatures of up to 300 degrees Celsius, which is higher than those of NdFeB magnets.

2) SmCo magnets start to function better than NdFeB magnets above 180 degrees Celsius.

3) While NdFeB is easily corroded, samarium cobalt has strong corrosion resistance and typically doesn't need surface treatment.

4) Samarium cobalt magnets typically cost more than NdFeB magnets.

5) Samarium-cobalt magnets are the most brittle type of magnets there are.
