Consider employing bonded neodymium magnets for your application if sintered neodymium would be a better option due to its greater flexibility. These magnets are made from powdered neodymium that has been bound. A polymer is combined with melted powder. The finished product is then made by pressing or extruding the components. Neodymium magnets that have been bound together can be magnetized into intricate designs with many poles. Bonded neodymium magnets offer more design flexibility even though they are substantially weaker than sintered neodymium magnets. Additionally, they have a lower permissible temperature (coercivity) and are lighter than samarium cobalt. However, they are very cost-effective for applications that call for a smaller magnet or use radial rings.

 

Strong Nd-Fe-B material is blended with an epoxy binder to create bonded Neodymium magnets. About 97 vol% of the mixture is magnet material, and 3 vol% is epoxy. Nd-Fe-B powder and an epoxy binder are combined during the manufacturing process, which also includes compressing the mixture in a press and curing the part in an oven. Since the material is created using compression bonding, a run's dimensions will normally vary by no more than.002 inches.

 

Bonded neodymium-iron-boron (NdFeB) magnets are strong magnets which are used for various applications. For bonded NdFeB magnets, epoxy coating is most frequently utilized.
